Morboullou and its surroundings: Set in the peace and tranquillity of the Breton countryside and only a few minutes drive from a magnificent sandy beach, Morboullou is a pretty little cottage dating from the 19th century. It is built in the traditional Breton style using pink granite with a natural slate roof. Next to Morboullou is Ty Coz (the two windows on the right) which has its own garden and parking area around the back of the house. Morboullou has its own private garden full of flowers and with mature trees on two sides and has garden furniture, a sandbox and a BBQ. Guimaëc, the nearest village, where there is a supermarket and boulangerie is only 5 minutes drive away and the nearest sandy beach a further 5 minutes. There are chickens, geese and rabbits for children to feed and 2 cats. Morboullou's interior: On the ground floor when you walk into the house there is a small but well-equiped kitchen on the left, a dining area in front of you and a comfortable lounge with wood-burning stove to the right. In the kitchen there is a gas cooker, fridge and microwave. In the lounge there is a CD and a DVD player and also games and books. I also provide a box of toys for children.There is also an attractive double bedroom on the ground floor and a modern bathroom. Next to the bathroom there is a washing machine and ironing facilities.Duvets and pillows are provided (linen can be hired for £5 per person) and a travel cot is also available. Upstairs there is a double bedroom and a bedroom with 3 single beds. To access the double bedroom you have to go through the room with 3 single beds which is usually used for children.There is a stair-gate at the top of the stairs.
There are local village markets nearby or huge hypermarkets in Morlaix. More cafés and restaurants can also be found in neighbouring villages or in Morlaix The lovely old town of Morlaix with it's harbour and 17th century houses is steeped in history and has several museums, a huge Saturday market and many interesting shops and restaurants. In August there is a colourful free festival of street theatre. For those of a sporting nature there is
horse-riding, diving, tennis, windsurfing and sailing.
